as of late

jokes with jada

this shit cracks me up

more gone than freeman on The Electric Company

freeman has always looked old

bone thug/mariah carey - breakdown

observations:
~mariah carey is a robot and will always be fine
~krayzie's hair game is always top notch, definitely the most stylish bone thug
~the fisheye compositions are horrible
~...and so is the video concept
~it really bothers me that the lyrics "P.O.D'ed, but it's still the same" is too explicit

Peter and the Wolf.

I lost my VHS tape of this years ago and can't seem to find it anywhere. Holler if you here me.

4 Tay - I'll be around

DJ Y-Not got me hooked on this shit.

Paul Westerberg - If Only You Were Lonely

QB's finest - Oochie Wally

I was really disappointed that Nas never played this song at Rock The Bells Miami. Dude was way too serious with his political rants. His new singles have really turned me away from listening to his new album. Damn son.

Pump up the volume trailer

I saw this movie for the first time last night. Don't let christian slater fool you. The movie isnt that bad.

Isley Brothers/R Kelly - Contagious

"Thought I told your ass to get to walking
Now I think ya'll better leave this place
Cause I'm about to catch a case"

That's some real pimp shit to say.

My other favorite narrative songs are Biggie - I got a story to tell and Binary Star - Wolfman Jack

The Mind of Mystikal

"It’s appropriate that Mystikal was a vet because he got his style from those big ass machine guns you see hanging off the edge of air craft carriers: Statacco bursts of concentrated fury. From his bio, Mystikal appears to have lived a fairly stressful, traumatic life and his verses were memorable for their intensity and emotion, which always seemed to be rage. In early 2004 Mystikal joined the growing list of Iraq war veterans incarcerated for violent crimes in the U.S."

Captured

Since 1979 Clayton Patterson has dedicated his life to documenting the
final era of raw creativity and lawlessness in New York City’s Lower
East Side, a neighborhood famed for art, music and revolutionary
minds. Traversing the outside edge he’s recorded a dark and colorful
society, from drag to hardcore, heroin, homelessness, political chaos
and ultimately gentrification. His odyssey from voyeur to provocateur
reveals that it can take losing everything you love to find your own significance.

orlando!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i really want to make an orlando magazine.

i'm thinking at least a 30-50 page colour spread.

i'd like to think of it as a collective of sorts. a mash between razorcake/axis/blogs/vice/focus/orlando weekly.

fuck zines. i want to go all out.

a magazine full of:
  • event info (house shows/concerts/movies/critical mass/art shows/food not bombs/skatepark events/premieres/dance parties/get togethers and such)
  • house show reviews
  • zine reviews
  • skateboarding
  • random person interviews
  • how to have fun with 10 dollars
  • things to do in orlando
  • things that suck in orlando
  • rants and raves
  • orlando history
  • fashion
  • orlando hotspots
  • restaurant reviews
  • new trends that i see around orlando
  • who's who
  • thumbs up thumbs down section (things i see that i like and dont like)
  • how to...
  • public rants
  • adventures section
  • orlando happenings
and so on...

i'd really like to put out at least 50-100 (personal hand outs/culture mart/mesh skatepark/covert_beta/galactic g/kyles bike shop/backbooth_social/wholefoodz)of these suckers a month. i know its going to be difficult due to insufficient funds so maybe a donation party is in order.

how does this make you feel?

any suggestions?

any donations?

Streetboarding?

holy shit, what the fuck is this? did i miss something over the last couple years? i'm not quite sure how to feel about this. is this a joke, taken way too far? you tell me.

holy shit, it just got worse. it's pretty much a more Xtreme version of the RipStick Actually, I can't even tell which is more extreme. It's either the unnecessary griptape on the streetboard or the futuristic design of the shitstick.

fuck it, ride a real skateboard.

TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT! what a neat idea

Earth Hour 2008

Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions. It may also help reduce light pollution, and in 2008, coincides with the beginning of National Dark Sky Week in the USA...

oh man, i completely forgot to post this

i dont even remember how i came across it, but here it is...

When a group of fellow orniphiles sat down in a sweaty boardroom
outside LaCrosse, Wisconsin in August of 2004, they didn’t
know their little “perversion” would soon
become a tri-statewide movement...
